SC-021 AFJROTC

The AFJROTC unit at Sumter High (SC-21) carries with it a tradition of excelence, honor, and comunity service. The program is an outstanding way to teach students the importance of discipline and integrity.

The Color Guard's mission is to insure the proper care and respect of the Colors (American Flag and escorting flags) during ceremonies. The Sumter High Color Guard presents the Colors at Sumter High football games, award assemblys, and other school funtcions. The Color Guard also competes in Drill Meets around the state.



All cadets in all ROTC classes are encouraged to join, regardless of training or age. Once on Color Guard the cadets recieve training in the ways to properly present the American Flag. The only requirements asked of the cadets is that they come to practice and maintain a good GPA.

Currently Commands the leading Color Guard in the Southern Region as the only non-commisioned officer.



Ranked BEST Overall commander in the state of South Carolina Februrary 2006
